వాయువు పీల్చిన క్షణమే ఊపిరాడక పిట్టల్లా కింద పడిపోయారు చాలా మంది. వారిని హుటాహుటిన హాస్పత్రులకు చేర్చారు. చర్మం మీద దద్దుర్లు, కళ్ళ మంట, వాంతులు, ఊపిరాడక పోవడం వంటి లక్షణాలు కనిపించాయి.
ఎక్కువ మంది భాదితులు మహిళలు, చిన్నారులే ఉన్నారు.
అయితే ఈ ఘటన తెల్లవారు జామున 3 గంటల సమయంలో జరిగినట్టు అధికారులు గుర్తించారు. పరిశ్రమ నుండి స్టైరిన్ విషవాయువు లీక్ అయినట్టు నిర్ధారించారు.
